Corporate Social Responsibility

AKA’s vision statement expresses its passion for the work its does and the communities it works with – both at home and foreign.

“The company will be grown and nurtured to establish a lasting legacy for its principals and employees as having made a profound and positive difference in the world. Working independently and collaboratively, AKA will develop, advance and commercialize technologies that make the world safer, the environment cleaner, and the lives of people healthier and more fulfilling.”

Companies have a moral obligation to give back to the communities in which they live and work – both at home and abroad. By sharing profits and volunteering personnel time, AKA supports the interest of innovative, proactive organizations striving for positive change.

AKA has made numerous donations towards the Grey Bruce Health Services Fund which aims to increase medical and emergency services in the rural regions of Grey Bruce County, Ontario, and has donated to the QEH Foundation in Prince Edward Island.

Majority of the company’s community involvement does takes place on Prince Edward Island, however AKA has also made donations to various initiatives around the world.
